Not at all—we welcome complete beginners. Our weekly dance socials are designed specifically for retirees with no prior experience. Our instructors guide everyone through the fundamentals in a relaxed, judgment-free environment where the focus is on having fun and building friendships.

Our weekly socials meet every Thursday evening from 7–9 PM at community venues across Ireland. We have regular gatherings in Dublin, Cork, and Galway, with smaller satellite groups forming in other regions. Most sessions start with a brief tutorial (first 30 minutes) followed by open social dancing where you can practice what you've learned with different partners.

Bachata is slower, more intimate, and easier to learn—it's great for beginners because the basic step takes just one evening to grasp. Salsa is faster and more energetic, but don't let that intimidate you. Honestly, start with whichever style speaks to you. We run both as separate community programs, so you can try each and see what clicks. Many people eventually learn both.

Our Galway retreats are 3-day immersive experiences held quarterly (spring, summer, autumn). They combine morning technique classes, afternoon cultural sessions exploring the history of Latin dance, and evening social dancing in beautiful venues along the waterfront. Accommodation, meals, and all classes are included. It's as much about community connection and exploring Galway as it is about dance—many friendships start on these retreats.

Dance is incredibly adaptable. We modify movements for different mobility levels—you can dance seated, use a wall for balance, or adjust your step size. It's low-impact and actually improves flexibility, coordination, and cardiovascular health. Before joining, we recommend a quick chat with our instructors so we can tailor the experience to you. Many of our most engaged members started with concerns like yours.

Weekly socials cost €12 per session or €40 per month for unlimited access. Our bachata and salsa programs are €60 per month with two classes weekly. First-time visitors always get a free trial session—no obligation, no sign-up required. Just show up or let us know you're coming. The Galway retreats are €195 per person and book up quickly, especially in summer months.
